#TurksandCaicos, February 15, 2023 – Sisters, not cousins is how Deputy Governor Anya Williams described the Turks and Caicos and The Bahamas as she thanked our northward neighbours for their support.

“We know that the familial ties between these two countries run so deep— we’re very thankful to The Bahamas for coming to our aid when we need it,” she said, referring in particular, to the extra manpower provided by the country that played a significant role in curbing crime last year.

She thanked specifically, Phillip Davis, Bahamas Prime Minister and several senior police officers for their sacrifice.

“We are truly appreciative because we know that The Bahamas has its challenges as well, we know that you took some concern and criticism from your own citizens but the Turks and Caicos is eternally grateful to you.” She said

The Deputy Governor maintained TCI wanted to reciprocate in any way they could and promised that the country has much to offer.
