Haitian authorities offer reward for the arrest of gang leader

#Haiti, February 9, 2023 – As gang violence continues to take over Haiti, the authorities have announced a ten million Gourde s reward for anyone who can provide information to help capture the leader of the Kraze Baryè gang, Vitel “Homme” Innocent.  Homme is wanted on rape charges, kidnappings for ransom, robbery charges, assassinations, and attempted assassinations.

The National Police of Haiti (PNH) recently launched “Operation Tornado 1,” aimed at capturing Innocent and breaking apart his gang.  They say he should be regarded as “armed and dangerous.”

Innocent is also wanted in the United States.  The PNH said it is possible he may flee to the Dominican Republic and urged people with knowledge of his whereabouts to contact the FBI or a nearby Consulate.
