Guyana to construct resort-style, luxurious wooden homes

#Guyana, February 11, 2023 – President of Guyana, Dr. Irfaan Ali on Wednesday announced the launch of the country’s first luxurious wooden homes settlement.  He said this project, consisting of 50 modern architecture homes, will be targeted to young professionals and those who want a more luxurious home.

It is the first “completely green, eco-friendly, resort-style luxury housing,” President Ali noted.  He added that building materials will come directly from Guyanese forests and only natives will be employed.

Construction is expected to begin within the next three months as efforts from both the government and local companies are pooled.
