RTCIPF Press Release: Shootings being investigated       

#TurksandCaicos, January 20, 2023 – The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force are continuing investigations into two separate woundings, one of which occurred in Kew Town, Providenciales  yesterday evening (January 15th).

Based on initial police reports, around 8.50 pm, the Police Control Room received a call from officials at the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre (CHMC)  that a man with gunshot wounds had been dropped off at their facility.

A team of officers were dispatched to the location.

Whilst conducting enquiries at the CHMC , another male victim was dropped off at the Emergency Room with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

Initial investigations revealed that the incident occurred in the Kew Town district.

Both male victims received non life threatening injuries and investigations are ongoing into these incidents.

Additionally, persons with information on these incidents or other illegal activities are asked to contact Crime Stoppers.  All calls are answered in the United States and managed by Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers which is a non-profit and not a police agency. The calls are anonymous and cannot be traced in the United States or the TCI.
