#TurksandCaicos, January 15, 2023 – Police have confirmed that serving officer, Special Constable Paul Argenord is no longer at work after running into trouble even before being slapped with charges of harboring illegal migrants.

Police Commissioner Trevor Botting declined to comment on the harboring investigation citing the fact that the matter was still before the courts as his reason.

He did however reveal that Agenord had been placed on administrative leave before his arrest because of another matter entirely. The commissioner did not go into details on what that was or how long ago the cop had been placed on leave.

Maintaining that all allegations of misconduct were taken seriously he said “Aside from the criminal process, Paul Argenord’s position as a Police Officer will be reviewed as a matter of course”.

The Officer was arrested on December 31st at a private residence in Provo along with four Haitian males all of whom were charged with being in the TCI illegally.
