Guyana, December 19, 2022 – A $760 million deal has been secured in Guyana by an American company, with the intention of building two plants for natural gas transfer onto the island. The natural gas will be converted to electricity once piped ashore.

The company predicts the project will be completed within two years.  CH-4 and Lindsayca have partnered to build the plants on Guyana’s west coast; a 300-megawatt power plant and another to supply it with fuel.

Guyana’s President, Ifraan Ali said the project will help reduce Guyana’s fuel import costs and solve their ongoing blackout issue.
