Grand Turk Fish Fry looking at 2023 Start

#TurksandCaicos, December 16, 2022 – After significant lobbying by residents in the country’s capital, Island Fish Fry will be returning to Grand Turk after all. 
Josephine Connolly, Minister of Tourism told Magnetic Media in a brief statement on Wednesday (December 14) that her Ministry was looking at a tentative 2023 start.
She maintained that right now they were working out the logistics of the event.
Fish Fry returned to Providenciales in April of this year as cases of Covid-19 started to slow as restrictions were eased, much to the delight of residents.
It’s now back to a once weekly event but there was no such luck for Grand Turk.
A one-off Fish Fry was held in November to compensate for the TCI Tourist Board’s 30th anniversary during Tourism Environmental Awareness Month and residents expressed the hope that the event would return on a more permanent basis, now those calls have seemingly been answered.
