Celine Dion Cancels 2023 European Tour

#USA, December 9, 2022 – Fans across the globe are in dismay after singing legend Celine Dion announced she would be canceling her 2023 tour because of a rare disease.
“All I know is singing, it’s what I’ve done all my life and it’s what I love to do the most. I miss you so much— being on the stage performing for you.”
She told her fans in a five minutes long Instagram video posted in English and French, revealing that she has been
“I wasn’t ready to say anything before but I’m ready now” she said. “I’ve been dealing with some problems with my health for a long time— recently I was diagnosed with a very rare disorder called Stiff Person Syndrome.”
The disease causes spasms which the singer said affects her ability to do everyday things like singing and even walking.
“Unfortunately the spasms every aspect of my daily life sometimes sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords the way I’m used to. It hurts me to tell you.”
The five time Grammy winner said, visibly emotional Dion had to pause several times to blink away tears. She announced that because of the disease she would not be able to complete her 2023 European tour as in order to get well she was making her health her main focus. But the singer assured that she had a competent team of doctors and expected to be able to tour in 2024.
