TCI Police make MURDER arrest in Brian Williams Jr case

#TurksandCaicos, November 14, 2022 – At least one family in the Turks and Caicos will receive a measure of closure as a murder suspect has finally been charged in one of the killings from the crime spree that began in September.

Police made the announcement on November 12th indicating that 30-year-old Jouvly Inelus is now formally charged with the murder of Brian Leon Williams Jr.

Williams, a security officer, was murdered on November 3rd at Enid Forbes Yard in Blue HIlls.  After responding to calls from residents about hearing gunfire, officers found him slumped over a chair bleeding.

Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.

The original police report said: “The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force officers are investigating a shooting incident which resulted in one man being killed.

Initial reports state at around 4.32 pm today (November 03rd), the Police Control Room received a call that gunshots were heard in the yard of a resident in Blue Hills.

When the RTCIPF officers arrived at the given location, a male victim was slumped over a chair, bleeding from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

The victim was later pronounced dead by a medical official.”

In addition to murder, Inelus who is from the Blue Hills area also faces four counts of firearm related offences and named were: Discharging a Firearm, Discharging Ammunition, Carrying a Firearm and Carrying Ammunition.
