#TurksandCaicos, November 22, 2022 – A new European route will bring more tourists to the Turks and Caicos beginning November 2023; Governor Nigel Dakin provided interesting insight to the Virgin Atlantic flight in a post on Monday.

“As of now my understanding is that this will be a direct flight which will go on to Jamaica; bringing ever more Caribbean connectivity as well as far better connectivity to the UK and thence Europe,” the Governor explained.

He claimed that the new flight, scheduled for its inaugural arrival on November 15, 2023, is emboldened by the booming tourist industry was directly related to the then governments’ decisions to open early in summer 2020, which he said put the TCI in a leading position globally in terms of being a COVID safe destination for well over two years.

Virgin Atlantic is one of Britain’s major international airlines, headquartered in Crawley, United Kingdom. Virgin Atlantic operates a network of international services to North America, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia from its hub at London Heathrow.  It was started in 1984.
