#TurksandCaicos, November 17, 2022 – The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force are continuing investigations into the circumstances surrounding the wounding of a Five Cays male.
Initial reports state at 12.25 am on Sunday 13th November, a call was made to the Police Control Room alerting officers that a male was brought into the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre with two gunshot wounds.
The male victim remains listed in a serious condition.
Additionally, on November 11th, at around 4pm, a joint operational exercise conducted by the RTCIPF and including the TCI Immigration Department, Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPF) and Aerial Support provided by the US – Customs and Border Protection (US-CBP).
The operation was carried out in a settlement known as Roney Yard, which is located off Mary Jane Lane, Blue Hills, Providenciales.
A number of searches were conducted, and eight persons- five males and three females- were detained for immigration purposes.
The public is being advised to notify the closest police station or to contact Crime Stoppers and give any information illegal activity anonymously.
