Newly Appointed Minister for Physical Planning and Infrastructure Development hits the Ground Running

#TurksandCaicos, November 18, 2022 – Newly appointed Minister of Physical Planning and Infrastructure Development Hon Jamell Robinson, accompanied by MP for Blue Hills, Hon. Randy Howell and the Acting Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Bridgette Newman began a number of familiarization visits in the Nation’s Capital, Grand Turk on Thursday of last week.

The team met with staff in the Ministry’s Departments namely the Department of Planning, Estates Management and Public Works, all divisions. While in Grand Turk, the Minister also took the opportunity to visit the sites of proposed projects for the island of Grand Turk.

Commenting on his new Ministry, Hon. Robinson stated; “I look forward to working with this small but mighty team, this Ministry is filled with hardworking, skilled individuals and I know that together we could accomplish great things for The Turks and Caicos Islands. 

This is critical thinking and problem-solving Ministry; collaborative efforts are being made to make decisions on projects and policies that are already in the pipeline, as well as some that are on the horizon.

I am excited for the jobs and revenue that the people of The TCI will benefit from due to the efforts of my Ministry.”

Hon. Robinson will continue his visits to all other Islands within the coming weeks.
