CDB and other IFIs launch climate finance video campaign ahead of COP27

November 4, 2022 – The Caribbean Development Bank alongside 12 other international financial institutions will be launching a video campaign titled ‘Investing for A Greener World’ next week. The launch will commence just before the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 27); it will also be the first time launching a climate finance joint video campaign. 
The video will raise awareness about the impact IFIs have on climate change across the globe. Their combined investments in climate change programs yearly help to fight global warming and reduce CO2 emissions, thus, improving the lives of people all over the world.
The IFIs each invest in a different region, assisting them with the transition to greener pathways. Hyginus Leon, President of the CDB said that the combined efforts of these institutions “adds up to a substantial green footprint” globally while ensuring that future generations will also benefit from a green world.
COP27 is expected from November 7-18 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.
