Commenting on her appointment Ms. Williams stated:  “I am humbled and delighted to accept the appointment of Procurement Manager.  I am guided by the words of Michelle Obama who stated: “Becoming isn’t about arriving somewhere or achieving a certain aim. I see it instead as a forward motion, a means of evolving, and a way to reach continuously toward a better self.”

With great anticipation I take on this new challenge that will allow me to continuously better myself professionally and personally. I am committed to contributing to the growth and success of my Unit and, by extension, to the Turks and Caicos Islands Government and its entities.

I give thanks to God who has made this achievement possible. I am also beyond grateful for the guidance, lessons, and support from my family, friends, and the team in the Office of the Deputy Governor. Also, to my daughter Jasmine, who fuels my passion for succeeding.  I truly believe that continuous training and development will strengthen my foundation and adequately equip me with the knowledge and competencies to guide me in my career and specifically in this new role in the Public Sector.”

Deputy Governor and Head of the Public Service Her Excellency Anya Williams in extending congratulatory remarks to Ms. Williams stated:  “It is with great pleasure that I extend congratulations to Ms. Gabrielle Williams on her appointment to the post of Procurement Manager within the Corporate Contracts and Performance Management (Procurement) Unit within my office.

Gabrielle is a consummate professional and one of the most hard working and driven public servants that I have had the pleasure of working with.

Since taking up the post of Procurement Officer within the CCPMU she has become an integral part of the unit and has availed herself to numerous training programs, equipping her with the skills necessary to help her to excel not from the Procurement Officer to the Senior Procurement role, but the to the newly created Manager post, which will help to oversee Procurement functions within the Unit.

Added to the recent promotion of Ms. Lurita Ewing to the post of Deputy Director of the CCPMU, Gabrielle we know will continue to be an asset to the team while we work to fill the now vacant Senior and Junior Procurement Officer roles previously held by these persons within the Unit.

Congratulations Gabbie!

You admirable hard work and dedication has earned you this well-deserved promotion!”
