57-Year-old Bahamian Man caught by Police with $400,000

#TheBahamas, October 29, 2022 – The Royal Bahamas Police Force is investigating a matter in which a 57-year-old Bahamian male was found with over four hundred thousand ($400,000.00) dollars in mixed currency.
According to the police, the confiscated cash is believed to be from the Proceeds of Crime.
Preliminary reports reveal that officers were conducting routine traffic stops when they conducted a search of a flatbed truck and found a large amount of cash. The officers later executed a search warrant on the driver’s residence and found an additional amount of cash in Bahamian and U.S. currency.
The unidentified man was arrested on Tuesday, October 25. The police did not say if the man was or would be charged.
