#UnitedKingdom, September 2, 2022 – Police in the UK are pleading for assistance to find the man who murdered a nine-year-old last week, the latest in a string of gun related murders.

Merseyside Police launched the emotional appeal on Twitter in a video.

“If you’ve got information and you’re withholding it, you’re protecting the killers, silence is not an option.”

On Monday, 9-year-old Olivia Pratt Korbel, like a typical 9 old, was peeking out from the bottom of the stairs as her mother Cheryl went to answer the door. While Olivia stood behind, her mother was struggling with a 35-year-old Joseph Née, who was trying desperately to get inside the home.

Running from a gunman, the 35-year-old managed to push his way inside. Unfortunately, that gunman followed, put his hand through the door and released several rounds. One hit Cheryl in the arm , one hit the intruder, and one hit Olivia in the chest. The police say Olivia was rushed to hospital but could not be saved.

Nee was apparently picked up and taken to hospital by friends in an Audi Q3. While the car has been seized, there is no information about the owner

The murder was shocking to the community that has suffered several shooting deaths this summer, an uncharacteristic level of violence.
