Man charged with Firearms and Drug Offences Awaiting Court Appearance

#TurksandCaicos, August 20, 2022 – On Saturday, August 13th, 2022, at 10:30 am, 20-year-old James Ingham of Old Airport Road, Providenciales, was arrested by Detectives of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force.

James Ingham was seen at the Criminal Investigations Compound in Providenciales acting suspiciously. He was pursued and brought in for questioning.  Ingham was searched and a quantity of illegal drugs (Cannabis) and a firearm were found.

James Ingham was arrested for Carrying a Firearm, Carrying Ammunition, and Unlawful Possession of Controlled Drugs (Cannabis), for which he was later charged and is currently awaiting a court date.

Man Charged with Firearm Offences and Drugs Remanded to HM Prison

On Sunday 7th August 2022, detectives of the Royal Turks and Caicos Police carried out investigations into a report of a missing person. During the enquiries, two authorities to search for firearms were executed on the home and a vehicle of Keneil Duvervil located in the Kingston area of the Bight, Providenciales. As a result of the search, two firearms, ammunition, and a quantity of cannabis were found.  Durvervil was arrested for the same.

On Tuesday 9th August 2022, 20-year-old Keniel Duvervil of The Bight, Providenciales, was formally charged by RTCIPF officers for (2) counts of Keeping Firearms, (2) counts of Keeping Ammunition, and Possession of Control drugs.

Mr. Duvervil appeared in court in Providenciales on Monday 15th August 2022, where he was remanded to HM Prison until September 2022 for a sufficiency hearing.
