#StKittsandNevis, August 20, 2022 – As of Monday, August 15, the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis has removed all COVID-19-related entry requirements.

Unvaccinated and vaccinated travellers visiting the twin-island Caribbean nation are no longer required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test to enter the Federation. This includes citizens, residents, and international travellers.

The end of the entry and testing protocols was announced by the newly elected Prime Minister, Dr Terrance Drew, who also serves as the Federation’s Health Minister.

In speaking at the Swearing-in ceremony of the Cabinet on August 13, 2022, Drew announced that all COVID-19-related health and travel restrictions implemented in 2020 be removed. He noted that his administration is about improving people’s lives and livelihoods.

“For many months, well before the election campaign began, I challenged the former government continuously to end the travel restrictions placed on our people that no longer had any scientific or medical merit. It was clear these restrictions were being used to oppress and suppress the will of you, the people,” the Health Minister said.

He added: “Why should citizens of this country have to seek permission to enter the land of their birth? Therefore, I have instructed that forthwith, all COVID-19-related health and travel restrictions be removed.”

While entry testing and vaccination requirements have ended under the new guidelines, officials noted that inbound passengers are required to complete an online Embarkation-Disembarkation (ED) card online “for ease of transit through the country’s border management agencies.
