Turks and Caicos Tourist Board is Title Sponsor for Polo Hamptons Match

#TurksandCaicos, July 29, 2022 – The Turks and Caicos Tourist Board was the title sponsor for the prestigious Polo Hamptons Match and Cocktail Party that took place on July 23rd, 2022. This signature annual event was held at The Maria and Kenneth Fishel Estate in Bridgehampton, New York and was hosted by American multi-hyphenate and Parrot Cay homeowner, Mrs. Christie Brinkley.

With a large high net worth population and most of the Turks and Caicos Islands’ American tourists residing in the New York Tri-State area, this private event, which attracted hundreds of individuals from The Hamptons, provided a significant opportunity to further strengthen brand awareness of the Turks and Caicos Islands in a key source market.

“It has been an absolute honour and privilege to represent destination Turks and Caicos at the Polo Hamptons Match and Cocktail Party. Through our private booth, I had the opportunity to showcase our islands, and network with attendees. And major interest was expressed in visiting our islands for both vacationing as well as investing” said Acting Director of Tourism, Mary Lightbourne.

“As Acting Director of Tourism, I will continue to aggressively market and promote our Beautiful by Nature Turks and Caicos Islands to effectively penetrate important source markets, such as New York”, Lightbourne added.

Lightbourne was accompanied by Turks and Caicos Islander, Alexandria Hall who lives in the New York area and is a recent Communications Graduate of Saint Peter’s University.

The Polo Hamptons Match and Cocktail Party also celebrated Christie Brinkley gracing the cover of the July 2022 edition of “premier luxury publication for the Hamptons”, Social Life Magazine. As part of the campaign to promote TCI to the New York audience, the Turks and Caicos Tourist Board was featured in two full-page advertisements in the publication, showcasing luxury villas and resorts to their readers who are mainly based in the Hamptons and Manhattan.
