#TurksandCaicos, July 5, 2022 – The Turks and Caicos Islands is in mourning after a traffic accident  claimed the life of Ernold Hall, son of former Commissioner of Police, Edward Hall.

The accident happened around 7a.m. Sunday in Kew, North Caicos. Magnetic Media is told that the accident occurred on the same roadway which claimed the life of another young man, Aldrico Hall earlier this year. In fact, the two were also a part of the same close knit clan.

Photos of the car show it positioned in bushes off the roadway and days later, Royal TCI Police have not yet released a statement about the accident which appeared to be a single car collision.

Magnetic Media expresses our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Ernold, said to be in his 40s, also said to have buried his aunt just hours before.

The TCI Government has committed to a Transportation Master Plan, as concerns are raised again about the dangerous nature of some roadways.  The Master Plan aims to improve the way residents get around, which could mean engineering and design enhancements.

The Transportation Master Plan is being undertaken by the Ministry of Physical Planning and Infrastructure Development (PPID) with help from the Caribbean Development Bank.

Of the $20 million allocated for infrastructural upgrades $5.6 million is earmarked for Highway and Road Improvement, says TCIG.
