#TurksandCaicos, July 15, 2022 – Attendance was above expectations in the recent Wheeland Basketball Co-ED Summer Camp. Representatives explained that the camp exceeded expectations in the numbers and participation.

Athletes trained for a week at the Belglade Parker Gardens Basketball Court learning basic skills and basketball drills.

At the end of this process they were allowed to play in a ‘3 on 3’ exhibition held at the Kareem Walk-in Basketball Court with their parents as spectators.

This allowed parents to see first-hand the skills and drills acquired during the week,

Member of Parliament Kyle Knowles said “As the MP for the Wheeland and West Caicos Constituency, I am overjoyed with the enthusiasm and participation of the children that attended the 1st Camp in the Community.”

The Turks and Caicos Islands under 15 basketball team recently won the nation’s first regional match in years on a trip to Costa Rica.
