#TurksandCaicos, July 25, 2022 – One third of those recently tested for the Coronavirus have returned a positive; 24 positives from 75 new PCR tests as reflected on the July 10-July 16 Covid Report dashboard in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

There has been a large jump in positive COVID-19 cases with 24 new infections recorded over the past week and 77 positive cases overall.

The newest Turks and Caicos Covid-19 report reveals one more person has been hospitalized due to the virus.  No new deaths but three islands have caught cases of the coronavirus.

There are 22 new cases in Provo, one in Grand Turk and an infected person on record in North Caicos.   Seven people have been listed as recovered in the last week.

The increase for the TCI comes as the Ba.5 variant rips through the United States pushing up infections and increasing hospitalizations.

Turks and Caicos is with over 85 percent of the population fully vaccinated; and since its first case was recorded in late March 2020 there have been 6,279 positives; 6,151 recoveries; 36 in country deaths and 59,736 PCR tests completed.
