#29 for the Broncos, Faion Hicks, a TCI son of the soil

#TurksandCaicos, May 27, 2022 – For the first time a son to Turks and Caicos Islanders has been drafted to the NFL. Faion Hicks becomes the first to hold the coveted role as he has signed a 4-year contract with the Denver Broncos, after being selected in a 7th round draft pick.

The Denver Broncos is home to famous quarterback Russell Wilsonand Faion may share the field with him until at least 2025.

A a secondary, secondary pick Faion will be competing with several other players for playing time over the next few years.

The Denver Broncos posted a sweet video of Faion’s family getting ‘the call’ captioning it ‘We saved the best Family for last.

George Payton of the Broncos can be heard making the phone call. Faion answers politely to which Payton says, “It’s George Payton…I’m about to draft you, I hope your ready to be a Bronco.”

Cue the Caribbean family screams of joy on the other end as Faion’s family celebrates Payton and Coach Hackett can’t help but smile in the heartwarming video, asking ‘y’all good?’as they too are caught up in the genuine joy.

The young man tearfully thanks his new coach and as a member of Faions family tears up in the background Coach Hackett insists “I’m so happy for you, you’re a hell of a dude man and that’s why we want you here.”

To which Faion responds: “I appreciate it man, y’all won’t regret it I swear.”

Faion will start next season in Bronco Orange with the number 29, congratulations Faion!
