#TurksandCaicos, April 24, 2022 – Every vendor that you used to love at Fish Fry of pre-pandemic is back and ready to go for the Island Fish Fry of 2022 in a Covid normal world.

Despite some showers and overcast skies, spirits are high as vendors and entertainers prepare to bring the best version of the single greatest cultural event of the TCI, where natives and guests come together.

On display, the rich, dynamic culture of the Turks and Caicos available for touching, the tasting, experiencing and yes, buying.

It is an important part of the personal economies of some 50 plus micro and small businesses and when we asked about security, Magnetic Media was informed of significant police presence planned at the entrance, along the Princess Lane strip with both walking and driving patrols from before the fry starts to well after it ends.

It is expected this will ensure commuters by vehicle or on foot are safe.

Those attending the event, which will repeat each Thursday from 5:30 to 9:30pm will be required to sanitize before entering and all booths will have sanitizing stations.

No temporary fencing will be erected; instead the ice cream trucks will line the front of the Stubbs Diamond Plaza to create a singular entry point.  Parking is gonna be a bit crazy and you may have to walk but walking is often a good thing.

Parking of your vehicles will be along the side  of the streets and it was not clear whether traffic will be one way and which way, it would flow to ensure there is no congestion.

It was over two years ago when Island Fish Fry went on a coronavirus precipitated pause; now it is back and Ministry of Health official has been encouraging resident to mind our their COVID protocols, have a great time getting back together and give our visitors an experience which is second to none.
