The Scholarship Secretariat Unit has designed a website to make information easily accessible for residents.

The news comes only days after Minister of Education Rachel Taylor’s announcement that not only will all high school TCI and BOTS students be offered free tuition for the Turks and Caicos Island community college but scholarships will also be directed toward Mature students, Special Needs students and students of Vulnerable Economic backgrounds.

Information about the scholarship application process, application forms and the Ministry’s policies, frequently asked questions and contact information of staff at the Secretariat Unit can be found on the website.

The Ministry said in a release “It hopes that the website will help improve communication with students and the public. As well as highlight the achievements of former and current students who have earned a Government of the Turks and Caicos Islands Scholarship and serve as a source of motivation for aspiring applicants.”

There will be a phased approached to fully activating the website within the upcoming financial year; additional functionalities will also be added said the Ministry of Education in a media statement.
