1,800 Stimulus Cheques Ready for Pick Up says TCI Finance
#TurksandCaicos, March 3, 2022 – A 43 page document is now in wide circulation as the Ministry of Finance is gearing up to begin handing out nearly 1,800 cheques in a first round of Inflation Stimulus Payments on Wednesday, March 2.
This first batch of residents approved for the $500 cash were confirmed by February 14; a media release gives the schedule which staggers the payouts – a different approach compared to the first stimulus of 2021.
Those who received approvals by February 21st, will get payment on March 4 and those approved for the stimulus by February 28th, will get payment on March 11.
Cheques, said the Ministry, will be valid for six months. In order to collect your cheque, if you were approved, you will need a government issued, photo identification.
