#TurksandCaicos, February 25, 2022 – There have been at least eight reported incidents of gun related crimes in the Turks and Caicos in the last eight weeks alone, including home invasions, hold-ups at business places, robberies and murders.

Thieves in one of the most recent videos can be seen not only with what appear to be handguns, but what appeared to be a high powered weapon.

Several individuals including locals, a tourist trying to enjoy his vacation and now a child have been injured in these incidents. It has become increasingly apparent that no life is sacred to the people carrying out these crimes.

At least three people have been killed by gunmen in the period between December 2021 to February 2022.

The police have issued a statement that indicates they are doing covert investigations, but they need help to solve this crime.

Anyone with information about this or other crimes can call 911 or Crime Stoppers privately at 1-800-8477 (TIPS). The police would like to remind residents that all Crime Stoppers calls are answered by Miami Dade Police and no one from the RTCIPF

will know who called.
