#TurksandCaicos, January 19, 2022 – A double shot of the vaccine is not stopping death due to Covid-19 in the Turks and Caicos Islands; the TCI Hospitals announced the 31st death to COVID of a fully vaccinated person on Tuesday via media statement.   The statement also pointed out the woman was not boosted.

The person died on Monday (January 17) and is described as elderly with chronic medical conditions.

We learned that the woman is from the Haitian community, and her family – as are others before – is deeply grieved.

The TCI Hospitals also point out that the woman had not received the booster; a stinging fact that again exposes the disheartening truth that vaccine wanes after three to five months, offering little to no protection from the coronavirus.

TCI has one of the highest COVID vaccination rates at 83 per cent, but a low booster rate, which is in the teens. With each Covid-19 death of a fully vaccinated person, it is becoming clear that the vaccine leaves the medically vulnerable defenseless after several months, that the reasoning for the double shot mandate is becoming moot, that the vaccine shots, in order to be effective will have to be taken up to three times a year and that many countries are ill-prepared to keep pace with the human resource demands needed to manage the vaccination and testing regimes currently in play.

Officials offer condolences to the family of this 31st victim, we join with that sentiment here at Magnetic Media as well.

One day later, a second woman died due to Covid-19 complications; this time in Grand Turk.
