Monday January 24 started new COVID Regulations for TCI

#TurksandCaicos, January 28, 2022 – Since January 24, 2022 NEW Covid-19 regulations are in place in response to the Omicro-driven surge in cases.

Health Minister, Jamell Robinson unveiled the new raft of regulations on Thursday January 20, 2022.

As of Monday January 24th, bars, restaurants, nightclubs and discotheques Religious Events and funerals will require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test no more than 24 hours old if unvaccinated.

Unvaccinated persons under 16 are exempt if accompanied by an adult.

Social gatherings will be limited to those 16 years and over who have a negative COVID test, no more than 24 hours old, if unvaccinated.

Churches, religious events, funerals and weddings will be limited to 50 per cent of total capacity.

As of the Friday the 28th January, all visitors to the island over two years old must present a negative test within three days of travel.

Returning residents who are vaccinated must be tested within two days of arrival back in country.  Unvaccinated minors of fully vaccinated residents are recommended to be tested within two days of arrival, as well.

The minister said Team Health was currently trying to recruit individuals to manage the testing; nine vacancies were announced but are not yet filled.
