#UnitedKingdom, January 28, 2022 – In a decisive stance against the seemingly flagrant disregard for COVID-19 rules that their prime minister has shown, the British people have demanded answers and after weeks of silence the BBC reports that the British Metropolitan Police have now confirmed that they are looking into several controversial parties.

The fetes have occurred in UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s presence over the past two years, one of which is said to be his own birthday party.

Commissioner of the Met Police Cressida Dick in response to criticisms of a sluggish effort to investigate Johnson promised that the Metropolitan police will carry out their duty without fear or favor.

“As a result of the information provided by the Cabinet enquiry team and my officers on assessment, I can confirm that the Met is now investigating several events held at Downing Street and White Hall over the past two years in relation to potential breaches of COVID-19 regulations.”

Commissioner Dick confirmed that in cases such as this, where those involved were aware they were committing an offense and in an especially flagrant way penalty notices were usually given. She explained the criteria behind the decision to investigate

“We investigate when…There was evidence that those involved knew or or to have known that what they were doing was an offense, we are not investigating would significantly undermine the law and where there was little ambiguity around the absence of any reasonable defense.”

In the meantime Prime Minister Johnson has been trashing some of the most basic COVID19 protocols including mandatory mask wearing as well as work from home orders.

So far no penalty ticket has been announced for the controversial PM.
