#TurksandCaicos, December 15, 2021 – The sub-lab that was expected to be set-up for the arrival of cruise ships to Grand Turk is not yet in operation. Hon. Jamell Robinson, Minister of Health, in response to Magnetic Media queries said that hopefully, it will be up by the first quarter of 2022.

By then, also, the lab should have “a deputy director, two medical technologists, and a lab technician.”

Robinson assured, that despite health protocols are in place for Cruise Passengers entering the TCI.

All passengers over 16 years and those without medical conditions must be vaccinated; in fact, in addition to passengers and crew being fully vaccinated, only fully vaccinated residents are allowed to access the Grand Turk Cruise Center, GTCC.

COVID testing requirements are also in place for staff and passengers, and each person must have proof of a negative Covid-19 test.
