Pantene & Herbal Essences Shampoo Recall
December 31, 2021 – Procter & Gamble (P&G) has recalled over 30 aerosol spray hair care products, including shampoos and conditioners. There is a warning that the products could contain benzene, which can cause cancers
This is P&G’s second recall within a month. At the recall notice on Friday, P&G announced that the affected items include assorted Pantene, Herbal Essences, Old Spice, and Hair Food products.
P&G said the recall is an abundance of caution because the affected products may not expose people to levels of benzene high enough to cause health issues, and it has not received any reports of harm.
Also, P&G is advising retails to remove the recalled items from their shelves and anyone who has purchased the products to discard it. The company will be providing full refunds to customers.
