Goodbye Dr. Susan J. Wallace; Celebrated Bahamian author dies

 Celebrated Bahamian Author Dr Susan J. Wallace has passed. The author was native to West End, Grand Bahama but spent her formative years in Nassau, publishing 12 books during her lifetime.

She also founded Access Ministries International for Healing and Wholeness, and Access Bible College.  Both of these institutions serve in the Bahamas and internationally.

According to representatives attached to her community centre Dr. Wallace has received about 20 awards from 1984 to date.

Dr. Wallace, who is a veteran educator is survived by her five children, lost her husband Sydney Wallace, this past August.  Those commenting on her death have said she will be remembered for ‘contributions to Nation Building, Writing, Culture, Music Ministry, Teaching, as a Living legend, as a Local Hero for the Wall of Fame in Grand Bahama.’
