On July 22, 2020, The Turks and Caicos Islands opened its shores to international travel; At the same time, implementing three essential requirements to ensure the safety and well-being of arriving guests and the community at large:  a Negative COVID PCR Test within five days to arrival; Travel Insurance that covers Medevac coverage and a Travel Authorization provided by the Government granting entry for each traveler via the TCI Assured Website.

This portal was put together by Government to provide a seamless travel experience to the Turks & Caicos Islands.

To complement the efforts on TCI Assured, A group of patriotic private sector entrepreneurs developed TCI SAFE.

TCI Safe provides persons looking to travel to the Turks and Caicos Islands easy access to Government approved travel Insurance, COVID-19 PCR testing, and more.

“We want to commend the efforts set forth by the past and present Minister of Health and Tourism, the Turks and Caicos Government, and Governor for putting together the world-class TCI Assured portal and its exceptional service teams in providing a seamless certification experience. Having experienced the portal and services first hand, I am confident both these tools provide the peace of mind needed in the planning process for a safe arrival and experience in our beautiful by nature Turks and Caicos Islands.” Said Nikheel Advani, Chairman of the TCHTA and COO & Principal of Grace Bay Resorts.

“It goes without saying that we are deeply grateful for the efforts set forth by all those who were and are part of the TCI Assured program approval process. Not only through our experiences but those of top travel professionals who book travel around the world feel the process is simple, instantaneous, and truly the best-in-class.”

As we approach the conclusion of second quarter, 2021, the Grace Bay Resorts collection has safely and successfully welcomed over 12,000 guests to its resorts.

“Looking at the successes thus far and what is expected for the remainder of the year, the collection is set to exceed 2019 revenues and would not have been able to achieve this without the collective efforts to a successful reopening” added Advani.
