Team arrives to test and train for TCI Hospitals Oxygen Generators

#TurksandCaicos, May 25, 2021 – Four oxygen generators have been added to equipment at the TCI Hospitals; and on Sunday a representative from the manufacturer PCI Gas arrived in Providenciales, here for staff training and commissioning of the generators. 

Minister of Health E Jay Saunders during his Cabinet debrief press conference held on Thursday shared that TCI is already producing surgery quality oxygen. 

Ministry of Health contract manager, Florinda Talbot who has been leading on the landmark installation of the four generators at the hospitals in Grand Turk and Providenciales along with Deputy Contract Manager at the Ministry, Alice Providence also welcomed in the technician from Medical Technology Associate, who will test the quality of the oxygen. 

Turks and Caicos is turning another significant corner in its Covid-19 response, now able to produce its own oxygen to support chronic Coronavirus and other patients requiring ventilation.
