TCI: Meet and Greet event with Eco-Explorer Mario Rigby

#TurksandCaicos, May 9, 2021 – Connect Digital Marketing and Bambarra Rum teamed up to showcase TCI native adventure explorer, author, speaker, and former professional track and field athlete, Mario Rigby. On Saturday night there was a meet and greet where we recognized Mario and his many accomplishments including his most recent trek across the Turks and Caicos using nothing but manpower. The event was at Shisha Lounge and was well attended by members of the community, Ministers of Government, persons from the Ministry of Sports and Sports Commission. Many remarks of praise and admiration were aimed towards Mario and the fun, light atmosphere was further enhanced by a Junkanoo Rush by We Funk Junkanoo band.

The highlight of the evening was the unveiling of body art (Color Coded Map of TCI) painted on Mario earlier that day by artist Susie Cortez. Susie came to TCI a few years ago and fell in love with the country and has been returning frequently for relaxation and inspiration. Her renditions of “Bambarra Art” are truly amazing.
