TCI: Gov’t gives $40,000 in Food Vouchers to NGOs for Seniors

#TurksandCaicos, May 12, 2021 – Four hundred Turks and Caicos senior citizens will get more help amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Tuesday Government announced a $40,000 allocation to NGOs to distribute food vouchers on its behalf.

Qualifying for the $100 food vouchers are individuals over 65 years old, living in the Turks and Caicos.  You will need one government issued ID. 

You can apply for the help from today until May 18; successful applicants will be contacted by May 29th informed a government statement issued late today. 

The statement also said the 40,000 is a part of a social enhancement fund, allocated by government in response to the devastating effects of the Covid 19 pandemic.
