#TurksandCaicos, May 24, 2021 – The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association Education Foundation (CHTAEF) is inviting the public to help change the course of a Caribbean hospitality professional’s career by purchasing raffle tickets.

The foundation is launching its annual fundraising drive in support of training and education initiatives for hospitality workers in the region. The fundraiser will feature travel auctions and raffles for hotel stays donated by properties across the Caribbean. The first raffle of 2021 is presented by St. Lucia’s BodyHoliday spa resort, which has donated a five-night all-inclusive stay.

“We have lined up an amazing range of Caribbean resorts from all over the region, which have donated stay packages to benefit CHTAEF,” says the foundation’s chair, Karolin Troubetzkoy. “We plan to launch a new raffle every three weeks and we will announce auction dates soon.”

Raffle tickets for the BodyHoliday prize draw are US$55. The drawing closes on Tuesday, May 25. To participate, visit https://go.eventgroovefundraising.com/2021bodyholiday.

CHTAEF provides training for current industry professionals and scholarships for the next generation of Caribbean tourism superstars. Funds raised by the foundation helped train more than 750 hospitality staff in 2019 and have provided more than 80 scholarships in the past five years.

The hospitality industry is critical for the Caribbean, drawing millions of visitors every year and creating more employment, advancement opportunities and earnings than any other industry. CHTAEF training programs and scholarships help to ensure prosperity and opportunities for advancement for the hardworking staff upon whom the industry relies.
