#April 9, 2021 – For nearly one hundred years, the world had him… and now, he is gone.  The dashing Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh passed away at Windsor Castle this morning and all of the accolades which have since been showered upon him, pale in comparison to the solemn statement coming from the Palace.  It read:

“It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen announces the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

“His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.

“Further announcements will be made in due course.

“The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss.”

Prince Philip, husband to Queen Elizabeth was 99 years old.  He and the queen had been married 73 years and in 1966, the couple visited Grand Turk and South Caicos  in these Turks and Caicos Islands.

An online Book of Condolence is now available on the Royal Website for those who wish to send a personal message of condolence:  https://bit.ly/3rZF8tT.
