TCI: Good News, Government Announces Employment Opportunities With Competitive Salaries

Jobless TCI residents have a reason to smile as the Government announces a wide range of employment opportunities across the departments. Due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic that wreaked havoc on the country’s economy, many jobs were held in the previous financial year, making the list of the available slots a bit longer.

According to the public notice from the TCI Public Service, there are 40 slots up for grab by qualified individuals.

In terms of the vaccancy distribution, the Office of the Premier requires the Head of Secretariat, Executive Director, and Aide De Camp.

The Deputy Governor’s Office requires Human Resource Officer and A Senior Press Officer, while the Department of Public Prosecutions has a vacancy for a Public prosecutor.

Attorney General Chambers has a vacancy for director survey and mapping. Judicial administration has three vacancies: Assistant Clerk, Bailiff, and  Aide De Camp. The office of the Chief Internal Auditor is looking for a Senior Internal Auditor, and the National Audit Office also has a vacancy for a Senior Financial Audit Manager.

The Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing, Planning, and Development is also looking for Assistant Deputy Director-PWD. In the Ministry of Finance, Trade, and Investment has four slots: Accounting Officer, Compliance Officer, Senior Customs Officer, and a Senior Finance Officer.

The Ministry of Immigration, Citizenship, Labor& Employment services has seven slots vacant: Senior Labor Inspector, Senior Caseworker Supervisor, Research and Planning Officer, Labor Inspectors, Head of Secritariat, Customer Service Clerk, and Intelligence Manager.

The Ministry of Health,  Agriculture, Sports & Human Services has nine slots. Of course, it’s the ministry with the highest number of vacancies, including the Deputy Epidemiologist, Mental Health Nurse, Mental Health Aide, Clinical Nurse-Special Needs, Emergency Medical Technician, Clinical Nurse (HPAU), Speech & Language pathologist, and Occupational Therapist.

Under the Ministry of Education, Youth, Culture, Social & Library Services, there are six vacancies: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, Special Education needs teacher, Senior social Worker-Child Protection, Administrative officer, Graduate Upper Primary Teacher, and Guidance Councellor.

The Ministry of Home Affairs, Public Utilities & Transportation need a Deputy Director Of Road Safety.

The application deadline for the first lot is April 27, 2021.

However, the  Public Service promised to create more opportunities for upward mobility of the staff in the system and new opportunities for beginners.

“As we begin this new financial year, we hope to progress the recruitment of a number of key posts across government on a needed priority basis,” read part of the Deputy Governor’s statement.

“We look forward to providing opportunities for upward mobility to our current staff, as well as opportunities to welcome new members to our team!” concluded the Deputy Governor and Head of the Public Service, Her Excellency Anya Williams in the government issued statement.
