#TurksandCaicos, April 12, 2021 – On Saturday members of the Progressive National Party’s Electoral District Council 9, commonly referred to as The Five Cays Constituency Council rallied to support the Enid Capron Primary School, Five Cays, Providenciales, as it prepares itself to welcome back students for face-to-face tutorial.

In-person attendance at the school resumes today after nearly a year of forced closure and the offering of virtual lessons to its more than 500 students, brought on by the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Members of the Council were on hand to present over 3,000 face masks for teachers and students, five temperature checking devices and a number of colourful signs to place throughout the school to encourage students to observe the Covid-19 health and safety protocols, routinely wash their hands at identified hand-washing stations, and to maintain proper social distance at all times.

Members of the Council also assisted with the installation of the signs throughout the property.

According to Arnelle Taylor, Chairperson for the Council and Mr Calvin Greene, Chairman for the Progressive National Party, the donation is the first of many steps toward encouraging and facilitating community care, responsibility, and partnership for the maintenance of the school and the services rendered to its students.
