TCI records 16th COVID death over the weekend
#TurksandCaicos, March 22, 2021 – Local figures for Covid 19 have dropped significantly; now there is only one person is in hospital but over the weekend the news was again heartbreaking for Grand Turk.
“An elderly patient with a known case of COVID-19 disease passed away at the Cockburn Town Medical Centre in Grand Turk during the early morning hours of Saturday, March 20th, 2021. The patient was admitted to the medical centre in critical condition, and their condition deteriorated rapidly. The next of kin have been notified.”
The TCI Hospital, on Saturday afternoon, informed of the 16th death due to Covid 19 at the Cockburn Town Medical Center.
“The Turks and Caicos Islands Hospital and the Ministry of Health wish to extend our deepest condolences to the grieving family and friends on the unfortunate loss of their loved one.”
