#TurksandCaicos, March 17, 2021 – It is a plan for additional staffing which will be funded due to a Cabinet decision to give the TCI Hospitals, which are facilities owned by the people of the Turks and Caicos more money to better serve the dialysis unit and its clients.

In Providenciales, Magnetic Media has learned, nurses are getting off in the wee hours of the morning in order to accommodate the 40 plus dialysis patients on island.

Taking on more staff for the unit will ease the some pressure for health care workers and the facility which is also strained due to the coronavirus pandemic.

A Wednesday Cabinet meeting informed there was “approval of funding for the hire of additional staff at Cheshire Hall Hospital (Providenciales) and consumables to increase the provision of dialysis care for a period of 12 months.”
