TCI: Anglican Bishop endorses Covid Vaccine; pledges to take the jabs
#TurksandCaicos, March 22, 2021 – Covid 19 Vaccine confidence would be boosted if church pastors were telling members more regularly and more widely that it is safe to be inoculated; in the Turks and Caicos there have been several meetings with church pastors and leaders to convince them it is a message important to be spread.
Fr. Laish Boyd, Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of The Bahamas and Turks and Caicos Islands is on record in a letter with the view that the vaccine must now be considered one of the ways to fend off the dreaded coronavirus.
Bishop Boyd, who is based in Nassau, Bahamas categorically stated: “I support the vaccination process. This is our best way forward right now. I will get vaccinated as soon as I get the opportunity.”
Bishop Laish Boyd equated getting vaccinated is tantamount to showing brotherly and sisterly love.
