Over 800 in Quarantine; Middle & North with more COVID cases

#TurksandCaicos, February 5, 2021 – Providenciales has 31 new cases of Covid-19 according to the latest situational report from the Ministry of Health and there is still no word on whether or not the new strains of the coronavirus have been detected in these islands. 

Middle Caicos has also seen its cases double from two to four and  there are three new infections for North Caicos. 

Grand Turk is up by one case for a national increase of 37 new patients. 

While hospitalisations had increased a day prior by two to 11; it was overnight reported as decreased by one person and now stands at 10 admitted.   

So far this week, 245 tests have been completed by the National Public Health Laboratory.

There have been 40 recoveries over two days and at this time 804 people are in some sort of quarantine.

Turks and Caicos has now recorded 1,590 cases of Covid-19 and 1,254 recoveries.
