#Providenciales, December 16, 2019 – Turks and Caicos – The Office of the Deputy Premier, Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing, Planning and Development in collaboration with the Project Management Division within the Public Works Department, is pleased to announce the tender release of:

ROAD DEVELOPMENT PHASE 5 – PROVIDENCIALES which should comprise road works to the following named roads:

Lot 1: Madeira Way, Blue Hills
Lot 2: Rigby Hill Road, Five Cays
Lot 3: Sand Bar Street, Five Cays
Lot 4: Lantern Way/Snake Hill Sub-Division, Blue Hills
Lot 5: South Dock Road, Five Cays (From Roundabout to Five Cays Junction)

It is noteworthy that Lot 5 road was deemed a priority due to recent major deterioration from sustained rains.  This resulted in scheduled road works for a number of community roads being cancelled to allow the Ministry to address this urgent need.  The Deputy Premier stated that this was a critical decision and these road works form a part of his Ministry’s long-term road development program for the improvement of all road networks throughout the TCI, thereby promoting the safety of all persons traversing them.

The Deputy Premier expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to his Ministry staff, the Director and his team within the Public Works Department, The Premier and her team at the Ministry of Finance, the staff of the Procurement Office, and all those who played an instrumental part in bringing these projects to fruition.

The Deputy Premier commits to continuing to keep the Public abreast of all his Ministry’s initiatives and their progression.

May God continue to bless these Turks and Caicos Islands.
