TCI: Search for 17-year old that went missing while swimming called off
#Providenciales, September 23, 2019 – Turks and Caicos – TCI Police inform that the search for 17 year old has been called off. The teen has not been found.
Alandre Pierre went swimming with friends at Children’s Park on Thursday and has not been seen since.
Police Marine branch, DDME, 911, Fire Dept, Ministry of Health, EMS, USCoast Guard and private citizens all joined in the effort, which started on Thursday.
There had been a notice of hazardous beaching and boating conditions by the Bahamas Department of Meteorology. It advised swmmers were to stay out of the water due to swells and dangerous rip currents.
