TCI: Man charged with Murder and Attempted Murder on Grand Turk

#Providenciales, September 25, 2019 – Turks and Caicos – Officers of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force on Tuesday, September 24th, 2019, charged a 22-year-old man for Murder and Attempted Murder in connection to the death of 27-year-old Julien Pierre and the shooting of a 23-year-old man at the Tigers Night Club on West Road, Grand Turk on Sunday, September 22, 2019.

A 21-year-old man was also arrested and was given bail in the amount of $US10,000.00, and a 23-yearold-man is in Police Custody assisting with investigations.

Commissioner of Police Trevor Botting said, “Whilst a man has been charged in connection with the death of Mr Pierre, my team of detectives and staff are still working to establish the full circumstances of the incident on the morning of September 22nd, 2019. I am asking again for members of the community of Grand Turk to come forward with information which could help. If anyone has information but is reluctant to come forward and speak to police, you can call Crime Stoppers Anonymously at 1-800-8477”.
