TCI: Arrests and Charges

#Providenciales, September 19, 2019 – Turks and Caicos – On Thursday September 12th, 2019 a 27-year-old man pleaded guilty to Offence of Possession of Controlled Drugs, while three other men, a 40-year-old, a 26-year-old and a 50-year-old pleaded not guilty to the same Offence. The men were granted bail to return to Court on October 24th, 2019.

On Friday, September 13th, 2019 a 19-year-old man was arrested and charged for Robbery and Handling Stolen Goods in relation to a Robbery report that was made on Sunday, September 8th, 2019 at a Restaurant at the Market Place on the Leeward Highway, Providenciales. Recovered from the 19-year-old man was a Black Samsung Galaxy S9 cellular phone, that was stolen during the Robbery. He will appear in court on Tuesday, September 17th, 2019, to answer to the charges.

The same 19-year-old man, along with a 23-year-old man were charged on Saturday, September 14th, 2019 for the Offences of Aggravated Burglary and Kidnapping in relation to a second Robbery reported on Thursday, September 5th, 2019. A search warrant was executed at the residence of the 23-year-old man and recovered during the search were two Guatemalan $5 Bills, a .40 caliber spent shell, and a .38 spent shell. The said items were seized for investigational purposes. The two men will appear in Court on Tuesday, September 17th, 2019 to answer to the charges.

The 19 -year -old listed above was also arrested and charged in reference to the Robbery of a Black Toyota Vitz that was taken on September 2nd, 2019. The vehicle was handed over to the owner on Thursday September 12th, 2019. The charged man will appear in court on Tuesday, September 17th, 2019 to answer to the charge.
