#Nassau, September 10, 2019 – Bahamas – The
general public is advised that due to the devastating impact of Hurricane
Dorian that gravely affected the residents of Grand Bahama and Abaco Islands,
persons wishing to renew or replace their E-Regular or Manual passport which
was damaged or lost during the hurricane can do so by visiting the Passport
Office in New Providence. The Passport Office in Grand Bahama is currently
closed due to the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian.
Persons
whose passports were damaged are asked to bring the damaged passport and two
(2) passport size photographs when applying for a replacement passport. Persons
whose passports were lost during the hurricane are asked to bring two (2)
passport size photographs. Of note, fees to expedite the renewal or replacement
of passports will be waived for applicants from the aforementioned islands.
Application forms will be provided at the Passport Offices.
First
time applicants will have to produce relevant documentation in order to procure
an E-Regular passport.
